Long term clients bought a weekend home in upstate New York and determined to create contrary to old country comfort. But gracious living plus room for guests was required. With 2 young boys, they wanted space for each to have a bedroom and a sense that play was the priority. The owners also wanted to play... so with the help of RCM, renovation and creation of much custom furnishings was game on.
The original house had a generic early 60's feel in a great location with glorious sunset views across the valley and forests below. Replacing the decaying windows and doors, adding new decks and other construction transformed the generic into a unique destination.
